85 EAST 4th STREET

HorseTrade Theater Group
KGB Literary Series & Magazine

This small building is home to hundreds of performances at The Kraine Theater and The Red Room, as well as weekly poetry and literary readings at the KGB Bar. Dozens of brewer and food unions passed
through the space at the turn of the century before its conversion into Lucky Luciano’s speakeasy on the 2nd floor in the 1920’s. The building was purchased by the Ukrainian Labor Home in the 1940’s and
hosted a series of social groups and theater companies until the 1990’s.
