In the hands of Swedish artist Nathalie Djurberg, animation becomes a medium for transgressive and nightmarish allegories of desire and malcontent. “The Parade: Nathalie Djurberg with Music by Hans Berg” is Djurberg’s most ambitious multimedia installation to date. Originally organized by the Walker Art Center, Minneapolis, Djurberg will adapt this spectacular installation for the New Museum’s ‘Studio 231’ space.

Known for her delectable cooking and deep-seated sense of duty to her family and aging father, our kitchen maven insists on continuing the preparations for the wedding of her younger sister, despite constraints of daily life under occupation. Maria Bauman has studied with master teacher Anne Green Gilbert (Brain Compatible Dance Education) and has vast experiences teaching all ages around the country. Her approach to community engagement is heavily influenced by years of relationship with Jawole Zollar & Urban Bush Women.
