ABOUT FAB's MEMBER ORGANIZATIONS:

Membership in FAB is currently open to non-profit cultural and community organizations that own property or do the majority of their programming on East 4th Street between the Bowery and 2nd Ave. For more information about membership guidelines, benefits and applications, contact info@fabnyc.org.

FAB's current members include:

Alpha Omega Theatrical Dance:  A Latino/African American dance company, with extensive teaching programs in public schools. Will open dance studio.

Paradise Factory:  A workshop and producer of new original film and theater works; offers a range of master classes and production opportunities for emerging artists. Large studio and shares 74-seat theater.

Cooper Square Committee:  A tenant's rights and housing preservation organization.

Cooper Square Mutual Housing Association:  A tenant’s rights and housing preservation organization with long history of activism on behalf of low income community members.

Creative Time:  Arts organization that commissions, produces and presents public art of all disciplines citywide.

Downtown Art:  A youth theater company creating original works and adaptations; youth serve as artists and staff. Will open 74-seat theater, cafe/lounge for teens, and rehearsal studio.

Duo Theater:  A multicultural performance and film company that creates original work and has history of support for Latino artists. 99-seat theater, rehearsal studio, and multimedia gallery.

Instituto Arte Teatral Internacional (IATI):  A Latino theater performing contemporary and classic works for a Spanish- speaking audience, tours internationally, and presents ongoing reading series. Shares 74-seat theater; will open rehearsal studio.

La MaMa E.T.C.:  A renowned international theater organization, legendary for experimental productions. Three theaters, gallery, rehearsal studios; will open archive.

Millennium Film Workshop:  A center supporting emerging independent film and video artists through ongoing screening series, as well as access to production and editing equipment. 200 seat screening room.

New York Theatre Workshop:  A leading New York theater, acclaimed for its premieres of original, contemporary work. Two theaters and rehearsal studio; will open large set and costume construction shop.

Rod Rodgers Dance Company:  A multicultural dance company emphasizing the Black experience that tours nationally, has strong history of community involvement, and offers an extensive array of classes for youth and adults. Two dance studios.

Teatro Circulo:  A theater committed to Puerto Rican and Latino artists that performs both classic and contemporary works. Shares 74-seat theater; will open rehearsal studio.

Works in Progress:  Social venture that provides real world graphic design and silk-screening training to young people. T-shirt shop; will open computer lab and graphic design studio.

WOW Cafe Theatre:  An internationally recognized women’s theater collective that offers a full range of opportunities to women and transgender theater artists for production, artistic exploration. 70-seat theater.
