Open Call for Musicians and Performing Artists: Open Arts LES outdoor events

As part of our Open Arts LES summer series, we are seeking artists to present music or other performance works suitable for a casual street environment.

We prioritize programming that reflects the cultural diversity of the Lower East Side and Chinatown, with a special emphasis on work by immigrant and POC artists. Submissions are welcome from individual artists, ensembles, and arts organizations.

Historically, our programming has focused on small ensemble music performances, with a strong representation of Latin, jazz, and world music. We also occasionally feature dance, spoken word, and theater performances, often reflecting the cultural traditions of the Lower East Side, both past and present.

Performances will take place on the East 4th Street Open Street (between Bowery and Second Ave) and the Avenue B Open Street (at East 9th Street).
