Open Arts LES: Mari Bel and friends

Belgian singer-songwriter Mari Bel lives right on Avenue B in New York’s East village. Having lived and worked in different countries, Mari Bel is inspired by different musical cultures and sings in 4 different languages (Spanish, English, Portuguese and French). Before NY, she lived in Cuba for several years, where she recorded her albums “Havana Home” (2018) and “Encuentro – a tribute to Cuban jazz” (2021). She is currently working on a new album of jazzy singersongwriter music, to be recorded in July 2025. This Saturday she will be performing some of her brand new songs, as well as a mix of jazz standards, bossa nova and latin classics with her quartet. You might catch her dancing some samba too
