Open Arts LES: Mari Bel and friends

Belgian singer-songwriter Mari Bel currently lives on Avenue B in New York’s East village, after spending more than 4 years in Havana, Cuba, where she recorded two albums: Havana Home (2018) and Encuentro – A tribute to Cuban jazz (2021). Encuentro, made out of her own compositions arranged and recorded by over 50 Cuban jazz musicians, was launched at the Havana jazz festival in 2022. Having lived and worked in different countries, Mari Bel is inspired by different musical cultures and sings in 4 different languages (Spanish, English, Portuguese and French).
