Dorill Initiative is a multidisciplinary arts organization committed to empowering youth to tell their stories and transform communities. We train our youth to develop a unique voice through literary, visual, and performing arts education. Our goal is to help each young artist develop a deeper understanding of self, and advance their artistic capacity. Through the power of creativity and artistic expression, our youth will create a ripple effect of positive change in the communities we serve.
Dorill mobilizes our city’s youth to transform the social narrative through art and explore new perspectives through engagement with the broader community.
Open Arts LES 2020 Interview
Even though we’re an arts organization, our goal isn’t to transform these kids to, you know, be on Broadway or work in the TV or film industry. We’re working to have a more well rounded and whole person, a more whole human. – Ebony Sojourner
Dorill Initiative offers special programs for youth through their Saturday Arts Program held at The Lower East Side Girls Club.
